New Baby Girl Card

I am so sorry I have not updated my blog for ages,  those of you who know me know I am no techno whizz, and my computor has had problems. Now they are sorted though!!

My Hubby's work mate has just become a Father for the first time, he and his partner have a beautiful little girl.
This is the card I made to celebrate her birth.
When I first really got into card making it was the iris folding technique I enjoyed most.
The backing card has mini butterflies embossed on it, obviously I choose to use pinks.
I did originally try to heat emboss the time, date, weight and name onto the card but the stamps I had were not delicate enough, so I used peel offs instead. I know not everyone is a fan of them but they do the job well.
I think the card has turned out well.

Filofax Page Marker

I meant to put this picture up with the Filofax dividers on the 4th May, but got distracted, you know, the usual, washing, cleaning, ironing, helping with homework etc!!!
This page marker is for an A5 Filofax.
I made it so that it is flexible, then added a protective layer to help it withstand daily useage.
Hope you like it!!!

Father's Day Card

Do you recognise this card?!!!
I thought it would make a good Father's Day Card, so this will be the class on Saturday at Tithe Barn.

Pikachu Card

Jake was 20 at the end of April, and he still loves Pokémon, but as he is getting on a bit now, they have to be the old style ones!!!
I found this picture of Pikachu on google images.
I then used the image to make this card.
The Pokerball was easier to make as its base is a circle.
Pikachu was a big hit!!!

Filofax Dividers

Here are another set of dividers I was asked to make, they had to be browny colour.
The dividers had a vintage feel to them.
I love that so many people get inspiration from the dividers I make and of course that I am still asked to make them for orders.
These dividers are for a pocket filofax, I also made a matching set for an A5 filofax.

Male Birthday Card

As soon as I saw this paper I knew I wanted to use it to make my Hubby his birthday card.
The paper is by Echo Park from All About The Boy series and is called, surprisingly, Gears.
I decided to make this spring card. The base of the card is from white cardstock.
The gear dies are from the Do-Craft range, I cut them from red and brown card then added glossy accents.
The ticket stamp is one I got from a local craft shop, it is bigger than the stampin up one, I stamped the image cut it out by hand then inked it, I also inked round the Gears paper.
The metal decorative corner is one I have had for ages but I only wanted to use it on something for someone special, plus if needs be I can dismantle the card and use it again!!!
