Beach Hut Card

I bought this stamp fromLittle Claire Designs at a craft show last weekend, I also bought my first ProMarkers which I used on this card. I love beach huts, my aim is to own one, but that is a long way off. As far as I'm concerned beach huts are why we have the seaside.
I enjoyed colouring the stamped design and even used the blender pen on the curtains. I stamped the huts in grey so as to give a softer image and it worked. The lifebouys have 3D glaze over them as do the buckets.
I tore yellow card to make the sand for the card background. At first I inked up the edges but that just made it look like the sand was dirty and as we are very proud of our beaches in this area I decided it was all wrong. As this is my first attempt at using ProMarkers I'm very pleased with the end result.

Easter Baskets

Here are two last minute baskets I made as Easter gifts. I think they are really cute. The flowers are cut from dies, one is a Tim Holtz die and the other is a normal sizzix die.
Lucy loves the ducks and did not want to give them away.

Gift Bag

These gift bags have been around for a long time I know but now I have my tab punch from Stampin Up I wanted to make one. It works perfectly for the ribbon to go through.
The paper was free from Austrialian Scrapbook magazine this month, but then I discovered I already had the paper which I got free with Scrapbook magazine (UK version) last year. The butterfly bodies are seed beads. When I have decided who I am going to give the bag to and what I will put in it, I will make a butterfly gift tag and card to complete the set

Cupcake Box

I am so pleased with how this came together, it looks even better than I thought it would. I have been looking for this template for a while now, those of you who know me will know how I love templates, I usually make my own up but I could not get my head round this cupcake, I could not get the top right so I decided to buy one.
I used a HOTP template which I got from http://www.thatscrafty.co.uk/ I  recommend this site to everyone, their service is fantastic, they are so friendly and helpful, P&P is reasonable and delivery is extremely quick. I rang and left a message with them late afternoon when my computer would not let me finish paying for my order, they phoned me back first thing the next day and I received my template the following day.

Easter Goodies

Here are all the Easter goodies I have made so far, I love making the egg holders. (please see an earlier post for the instructions) Again the stamp is from Stampin Up, I did not realise I had so many.
This is another bowl made by my non crafty husband. All the Easter goodies come from my local supermarket and the colours match so many of my card scraps.
I hope my family enjoy these treats as much as I have enjoyed making them and I have used up so much of my scrap card that I will not feel guilty when I next buy some more.....

Easter Lollies

I have been making these lolly covers today, I have seven neices and nephews and thought it would make a change to the normal Easter eggs. The lollies inside the wrappers are Easter chocolate ones from Sainsbury's. The stamp I used is from Stampin Up as are the punches. The card is from my scraps bag though it is slowly going down. I have to add that the beautiful wooden bowl has been made by my extremely clever husband who says he does not 'do' crafting.
To make the wrappers I measured the lollies height and width, then added a bit for overlapping to put glue on, I prefere to use wet glue but tape works just as well. I punched a hole for the lolly stick to go through. Once they were all assembled I added the flower to the lolly front.
These look fantastic all grouped together, the pictures do not do them justice. They would be great for children's parties etc and they can be personalised.

Double Twisted Easel

Here is my attempt at a double twisted easel card, I'm  pleased with how it has come together as it is not my usual style card. The hedgehog is from the Woodland character set, the die looked complicated when I first opened the packaging but it came together very easily.
I also used my Vagabond for the first time when using the die. Yes I was lucky enough to get a Vagabond for Mother's Day, I was so surprised I apparently squealed when I saw the box, I also had tears in my eyes because I could not believe Chris or my children would ever think to get one for me.

Note book.

I made this note book for a good friend, it is only about A6 size but she loved it. I used Cosmo Cricket Snorkel paper and matching bazzill card.

I used distress ink on all edges, then stamped the flourish.

The owls and flower are made from shrink plastic. I then tied ribbon to the first three wires

Finally I finished the whole note book with dots made from glossy accents.

Easter goody bags

I bought these eggs because I loved the dotty foil wrappings, I think they look very sophisticated, definitely eggs for grown ups.

I used craft card to cut the top notes from, then embossed it with cuttlebugs' swirl embossing folder. The top note was then scored and folded lengthwise.

Easter Egg Holder

These gorgeous egg baskets are for the children in a yr 6 class that I work with in the mornings. They are made with 9x20cm cardstock which is then scored at 3cm in on each long edge, I then scored on the short sides at 5cm and 8.5cm from each edge. The four corners are then cut off and cuts are made on the long edges to the first score line. Once glued together they form these cute egg holders.

The stamps are from Stampin Up, as are the scallop and circle punch. I have also used my favourite Martha Stewart punch to add additional texture to the box.
