Filofax Dividers

Here are two photos of some dividers I made for a finsbury filofax. I think they look very elegant.
I cut the swirls using my vagabond, the top of each swirl has a gem on it.
Each tab has a gem on it as well, the lady who these were made for wanted glam and bling!!

Hot Air Balloon.

I bought this stamp just after Christmas, I would like to go in a hot air balloon one day!!
I made this card with my husband in mind, I stamped the image using stazon onto Basic Grey paper, this is my favourite paper crafting brand, so he is very lucky I used it as I usually look at my Basic Grey papers then decide they are too nice to use and put them away again.
I stamped the image three times then cut round parts of the air balloon, pieced them together again and added glossy accents.
I then layered up Bazzill card to make the sky and hills. I finally stamped the Tim Holtz quote using walnut stain DI.
I made an ATC using the same techniques, it could also be a gift tag.
This card could have a more feminine feel about it by using different papers.
I now have plans to include this hot air balloon on a layout!!

Calendar.

At last, I have remembered to find the photo of the desk top calendar I made for myself this year.
It is made the same way as the drawer of cards boxes that I enjoy making, but with an easel on top.
The top note shape is cut from the SU die that karen gave me for Christmas, the flowers are from a SU stamp set too, I think it is called vintage florals. I have used distress inks and scrunched the paper up to mske the flowers, I used brads with pearls in for the flower centers.
At the moment the drawer is used for storing paper clips as we seem to have a shortage of them in or house.

Box and Cards.

I just love making mini, dinky cards and boxes, this combines both. I made this for my sister along with some other things, but this is what she liked the most.
The cards are 3"x3" and the box holds four cards and the envelopes.
The box is also called a pizza box, the band around the box slides on and off and holds everything together.
The vintage effect of the paper is stunning and has so many shades of pink in it, I don't really do pink but it looks so good with the bazzill green card, the words are stamped using aged mahogany DI.

Tea Cup Card.

Here is the card we will be making this month at Craftbuddies Crop, Tithe Barn, Horsford, on Saturday.
The class will cost £2.00.
Full instruction and tuition will be given.
There is also a gift tag to match.
Equipment needed to complete the card is the basic tool kit, including DS tape, wet glue, foam pads, small scissors or a craft knife and a cutting mat, as always I will have equipment with me for people to share. I also used pale pink and antique pink pro markers.
Please let Karen know if you wish to do the class over at www.craftbuddiespapercrafts.co.uk

Easter Lollies

I wanted to share these quick and easy lollies, the lolly makes up the flower middle, they are another way of using up scraps of card,  my children have already tried to eat them all.
I cut the flowers from various cricut cartridges at 3", layered them up then inked around the edges.
I had to make the centre hole big enough for the lolly stick to fit through.
I also cut out the sign that is in the photo, it has Easter stamped on it but it did not show up in the picture for some reason.

I tidied the underneath up by adding a green cone shape to hide the lolly wrapper, you can just about see it on the flower on the left.

Easter Egg Holder

These pictures are of the egg holders that I have made for family this year.
I bought the dinky ducks first then had to adjust the holder size to fit them. I also made several to hold the other types of eggs. The measuremens  are for the smaller egg holder.
The original holder is a peice of card 9cm x 20cm, scored at 3cm on each long side then at 5.5cm
and 8.5cm on each side of the short side of card. The corners are then cut off and two cuts are made on the long side to the centre line so that when folded together the box is formed that the egg will sit in. Finally punch holes in the top part of the holder to tie it together.
I really hope this makes sense!!

I have used a border to tidy the edges
of the holder.
The cute rabbit is a stampin up stamp that I coloured using promarkers then cut out, it is then matted onto the scalloped circle.
HOPPY  EASTER.

Sweet Dispenser.

When I was blog hopping recently I found this sweet dispenser on  a stampin up blog I thought it looked so cute that I down loaded the instructions as soon as I found them.
I have used odds and ends of card to make this as it is the first one I have made (sorry about the picture it is a bit blurry) but the colours are Easter ish.
These would be great as place settings over Easter they only stand about 3.5" high, I have put smarties in mine but skittles would work well too. I want to make one with an acetate front so you can see the sweets as they go down.

Easter Goody Bags.

I love making these goody bags, they are very effective but such a simple idea.
They are also suitable to hide in the garden  if you have an Easter Egg Hunt.
The cellophane bags can be brought at a supermarket or over the Internet.
These ones are mini bags which I have put mini malteaster bunnies in, they can be bought in packs of five, but be aware they are highly addictive and I had to buy several packs. The little eggs are ones which are about this time of year.
I used sizzix dies which I purchased from  www.craftbuddiespapercrafts.co.uk  for the tops of the bags, it was very technical to get the right size, lay the cellophane bag on the dies and use the one that is just a bit bigger, see lots of good tips here!!
I have stamped and punched out sayings using stampin up products then layered them onto scalloped punch outs.
Hope you like them!
